I got an email from Crossword Book Stores, telling me about this silly offer they were running, and while I was scrolling down, I saw the cover of that 32 CD set, and it showed this Afghan girl with green eyes and I was taken back 6 years to me reading the back of The Hindu, reading her story. I have this sudden desire to study the working of the mind, to find how memories are stored, to find what brings them back.
And what an effect that image has had, for nearly twenty years, anyone who saw that would have associated it with National Geographic. That's what you call an iconic photograph.
