The day came when I finally had to use a virtual machine. The GRE PowerPrep software doesn't work on Vista, and I had to see what it was. As a result, I had to violate some IP. A short trip to Pirate Bay yielded a stripped down Windows XP remix called microXP. It works just fine for what I need. No, I haven't given Wine a shot, I'm on a 64-bit install, and I have a weird and possibly irrational dislike of installing 32-bit libraries on my laptop.
