Why is it so hard to get information about technology in India? We had grand announcements of $10 laptops, countered by statements that it was a mistake in the press release and was actually nearer $100, and then this morning I wake up to reports that it is actually a 'low cost computing device'. Why is it so hard to get reliable information?
This is not to disparage their efforts, if they do manage to make a Rs. 2000-3000 computer which plugs into a monitor or TV, then that's amazing, but when it starts reaching the $100 mark, I'm sorry, but the Chinese have already done it.
So is it a laptop or not?
