I was forced to stop by traffic. I'd been followed for about half a kilometre by this chap with his high beam on and it was getting on my nerves. So I did what I've always wanted to do: I turned my car off and after walking up to his car and knocking on the window, I said, "Please turn off your high beam, it's hard to drive." and then repeated that in Tamil (but without the dayavu sedhu or whatever, because the word didn't come to mind). He switched it off! Perhaps it is much harder to be inconsiderate to someone who is polite to you :) In any case, I got a kilometre's worth of no-high-beam-behind-me driving.
Then one of those Tata SUVs followed me. The people who drive these are usually morons, so there's no point talking to them, plus the traffic was moving - not exactly a similar situation. Ah well, one less high beam driver on Chennai's roads; that's a thought that makes me happy.

One less person in a country full of high-beam using retards.
Good good. I hate them idiots too. And I love the way you say "I am Roshan George and I live in Madras". Like that defines you.

Marc: Yes, but you know what they say about little drops of water :)
Spica: :D It sort of does define me, doesn't it? I've lived here nearly all my life. I'm just a Madrasi.
